March 10, 2021 - Rotary Recap. Patrick Downes, CEO with East Cooper Medical Center, was the speaker at the Club’s weekly breakfast meeting held virtually. Patrick spent his life and career in South Florida before having the opportunity to move to Charleston. He spoke about what the last year has been like for health care providers and provided an update on the pandemic and getting vaccines. Patrick explained that Charleston is a healthcare destination city therefore in the tri-state and therefore our recovery from the pandemic should be better We were proud to have the district governor in attendance. Beth Lee shared her story about growing up in northeast Ohio, moving to Myrtle Beach, attending law school, moving to Key West, traveling the country in a RV before relocating to Charleston. She is a boater, pickle ball player and loves the Gamecocks and Buckeyes! Many updates were provided from the mentor ship program to all of the upcoming service opportunities.
