Mary Jo Romeo Pappas kicked off her first meeting as the newly appointed president! She has introduced a new three-pronged initiative:
We are very excited to have her as our leader for the upcoming year! We’d like to thank Angela Drake for doing an outstanding job as our most recent past president and leading the club through an unprecedented time during the Covid 19 pandemic.
Guri Sandhu was our “Mr. Sunshine” and shared some hilarious jokes and Beth Lee delivered a great Invocation.
Bill Stevens gave his “about me” speech and introduced the wonderful book he and his wife Ann have worked on the past year. He spoke about his exciting career with Deloitte & Touche and all the cities he’s lived in. Surprisingly, Daniel Island is where he has lived the longest!
Stephen Slifer discussed what goes into selecting our speakers for our Rotary meetings and selecting great individuals for our quarterly “Speaker Series.”
We introduced new members: Chris Burrell, Patrick Tang, Matthew Desmond, Jeffrey DiLisi, Silva Goxhaj, and Joshua G. VanScoy. Congratulations and welcome!
Paul Harris Fellowship Awards were given to Angela Drake, Michael Patterson, Chip Law, George Jucha, and Gray Ives. Thank you for your generosity!
Lastly, RCDI recently participated as a Platinum sponsor for the DI inshore fishing tournament!
