Greg Baker delivered the invocation. Bill Cannon re-introduced "Ace of Spades," which donates funds to Alzheimer's research. Paul Fox delivered his "About Me" speech. Paul grew up in Maryland and spent the summers in New Hampshire. He graduated from Towson University in Maryland and got into the hospitality industry. He later would move into the automotive sector, and currently, today is the Senior V.P. of Sales and Client Relations for Transport Solutions of America. TSOA operates out of Atlanta, GA, and Toronto, Canada. They specialize in transporting vehicles for fortune 500 companies. Paul and his wife Miranda have two children Sierra and Jackson. Paul enjoys boating, sailing, hiking, snow skiing, and pickleball. RCDI introduced three new members: Suzy Cubbler, Ed Rominger, and Jeff DiLisi.
President Rob Dewey & past president David Matheny of the downtown Charleston Rotary Club delivered a $1,000 check to RCDI to show their appreciation for our collaborative volunteer efforts at the 2021 P.G.A. Our new member, Jeff DiLisi MD, was our guest speaker. He joined Roper St. Francis Healthcare as the new C.E.O. in late 2020. Jeff has an M.B.A. from Duke University and a medical degree from Jefferson Medical College. Before his new role, doctor DiLisi was Senior V.P. and Chief Medical Officer for the Virginia Hospital Center in Arlington, VA. Jeff spoke about the history and legacy of Roper Hospital & Bon Secours St. Francis Hospital and how the new affiliations enable them to share resources and their best practices that serve our community. Roper St. Francis Healthcare is the Lowcountry's only private, not-for-profit healthcare system that employs nearly 6,000 people, with almost 1,000 physicians representing virtually every medical specialty.
