February 24, 2021 -Rotary Recap. This week’s speaker at our virtual breakfast meeting was Mark Smith, local business owner, state house representative and distinguished Member of our Club. Mark is from Bamburg, SC and moved to Massachusetts after marriage. They decided to move to Charleston where Mark owns and operates currently 6 funeral homes. Mark believes Rotary is a great way for people to give of their time, talents, and/or treasures. He has been involved in Rotary for 20 years and he also attended international Rotary events, which he found them to be influential. He concluded by updating the group on pending legislation. We had 2 members this week tell their story. Long time Member, Faith White, has lived on Daniel Island for 20 years and has been amazed about the development She is still a New Yorker but moved south because the love of her life was from Florence. Faith owns Robes of Faith and is busy creating designs for others. Nicole Stewart moved to the Caribbean after college where she met her husband and they later moved to the Netherlands. Nicole loved riding her bike everywhere while living there. Nicole owns her own insurance business.
