March 3, 2021 - Rotary Recap. March kicks off with a BANG! Awards presented, new members inducted and great presentations by our Members were all part of this week’s breakfast meeting held virtually and in person. Jerry Walkowiak with Chick-fil-A was recognized in pitching in with traffic at a local vaccination site.👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Red badgers, LaDonna James, Paul Fox and Kathy Burgeson, were welcomed😊 George Rogers shared his story with the Club as growing up in North Carolina and working in marketing for corporations and non-profits. George currently leads the operations at East Cooper Meals on Wheels. George is an artist and is starting a designer scarf business. Member Chad Vail shared with Members about what he does for Charleston County School District. He provided an inspiring message about how students are engaged in a work base learning program which spans several years and is to prepare students for a career and college upon exiting high school. Students are introduced to possible career interest through speakers, camps, mentors and job fairs. The county works with the chamber and local businesses to assist in determining immediate available employment opportunities.
