Bob Hervey informs about East Cooper Habitat for Humanity

Steve Slifer Introduces Bob Hervey of East Cooper Habitat for Humanity

Bob Hervey with East Cooper Habitat for Humanity was the guest speaker at this week’s breakfast meeting.  Bob explained the qualifications for prospective homeowners and how this impactful organization protects its investment and how each home is funded.  Each new homeowner has to demonstrate a financial need, ability to pay, and also dedicate 350 hours of sweat equity into the construction of their new home.   The sweat equity component contributes the success of the program because each homeowner becomes invested.  Habitat for Humanity’s goal is to build simple yet high quality homes.  We would like to welcome back Ben Laaper, great to see you Ben!
