August 5, 2020 - Rotary Recap. Matthew Gibson, curator of Natural History at the Charleston Museum, was this week’s speaker for the Club’s breakfast meeting held virtually. Matthew spent most of his life in Georgia before finding his dream job at the museum working with artifacts and telling others about South Carolina’s phosphate industry and history. He explained the mining operations, finances and political dynamics of this enterprise Matthew encourages members to visit the museum when conditions permit. Dr. Rebeca Zechmann shared her philosophy of having a successful dental practice on the island and a bit of insight as to her personal background (3 kids, fluent in Spanish, and living in Baltimore)!
