Daniel Prohaska, Lions Vision Services of SC

“Will you not hasten the day when there shall be no preventable blindness; no little deaf, blind child untaught; no blind man or woman unaided?” said Helen Keller to the Lions Club in 1925.

Today, Daniel Prohaska, MA, CFRE, President & CEO of Lions Vision Services of South Carolina, shared his passion for ending blindness with the Rotary Club of Daniel Island echoing Keller’s call to action.

By 2030 the prevalence of blindness and vision loss will double in large part due to our aging boomer population. The Lions provide screenings, an affordable eye surgery program and vision technologies to help low income people with blindness or limited sight navigate the world.

They also recycle eyeglasses from you and me to give to people in need. Have a lot of spare glasses lying around? Look to participating Walmart stores to donate yours! #lionsinternational #lionsvisionservices
