Breakfast Meeting - DI Club and Zoom - PGA Hope

September 15 (DI Club) -- PGA Hope (Helping Our Patriots Everywhere), Rich O’Brien, Coordinator. PGA Hope is a charitable organization sponsored by the PGA of America. It introduces golf to veterans with disabilities to enhance their physical, mental, social and emotional well-being. Rich Is a performance coach that helps players of all ability levels take their game to the next level. His clients include aspiring touring pros as well as LPGA tour players. In 2008 his focus shifted when he suffered a catastrophic injury, breaking his neck, back and four skull fractures that took 4 years and 12,000 hours of rehab to recover from. During the process he battled PTSD and became addicted to prescription painkiller. One day a disabled veteran asked him to mentor him and suddenly Rich learned that his experience was able to help that veteran not only improve his golf score, but also dramatically improve his quality of life.
