DI Club - Scarlett Wilson – Ninth Circuit Solicitor CHS and Berkeley

June 1 – (DI Club) Scarlett Wilson – Ninth Circuit Solicitor (Charleston and Berkeley Counties). There are 23,000 unresolved criminal cases in the 9th circuit today, and last year Charleston and Berkeley counties held a grand total of seven jury trials. 43% of those cases have been on the docket for more than a year and a half. Much smaller circuits manage to conduct about 40 cases per year. That hardly qualifies as swift justice! There are a number of reasons why this has happened, and the issue is one that Scarlett has spoken about publicly for a long time. Scarlett spoke to us previously about ten years ago and we learned that her father was a long-time Rotarian and – most importantly -- she adopted two ducks at a time when the S.C.
