About the event

We all care about what happens in the Charleston City Hall.  But how many of us have actually visited the Council Chamber?  Did you know that the council members’ walnut desks were made in 1818?  That the two chandeliers originally lit with gas date back to 1850?  Or that the lights in the perimeter of the tin ceiling contain the original 1896 Thomas Edison light bulbs that burned until 1983?  Lots of great history.  And that is before you even think about what the Mayor and the council members actually did in that room.  This is your chance to see a part of Charleston history that you is not on any tour.

Lunch afterwards at the Blind Tigers if your schedule allows. https://blindtigerchs.com/
