September 10 -- Joanna Wusinich, Launch Consultant, Christo Rey Charleston High School and Shenita Vanish, President, In January Bill Stanfield from Metanoia talked to us about how his organization was joining forces with the Christo Rey network of high schools to transform the now-closed North Charleston Elementary School into Christo Rey Charleston High School. It will be a Catholic, college, and career-prep school that exclusively serves students from families with limited economic resources through a corporate work study program whereby students work one day a week for all four years. This unique approach allows students to receive a quality education and simultaneously gain valuable work experience. It is expected to open In August 2027.
