May 29 -- (Blackbaud) -- Karen Elsey, owner of Laura Alberts. We all know and love Karen and Laura Alberts. Suddenly our go-to place for lunch has shuttered its doors after 22 years. Laura Alberts was always a favorite place to dine, catered many of our special events, and supported community events throughout its tenure. But now Karen did the unthinkable. She retired. Well-deserved but bittersweet. Now we have an opportunity to hear the Laura Alberts story from Karen and wish her well in her
retirement. The restaurant was a survivor. Many restaurants have come and gone on this island. Not so for LA. That is an impressive feat. Come say hello, and good-bye, to our friend Karen.
