About the event

June 17 -- Rob Kruger -- Federal Protective Service. Rob Kruger -- Federal Protective ServiceRob is part of the detail assigned to protect Senator Scott. He has also had experience with a violent crime unit. The Federal Protective Service is part of Homeland Security and its mission is to protect federal buildings, facilities and personnel. As such it provides law enforcement and security services to over 9,000 federal buildings, prevents terrorism, and endures facility security. The Secret Service is a separate agency and protects the President, the Vice President, and visiting world dignitaries. Both agencies fall under the DHS umbrella. They may collaborate on security, but do not share a chain of command.
