About the event
Great Opportunity!
Fellow Rotarians,
This year, following a two-year COVID hiatus, our club will support the North Charleston Club and participate in their St. Patrick’s Day Celebration which will be held in North Charleston on Saturday, March 12th. This will be our initial duck adoption event for 2022 and one that is fun and exciting for one and all: green beer, crazy costumes and a total party vibe.
To support this event, we are asking for volunteers to assist in getting attendees to visit our adoption site and complete the adoption transaction. We will have three shifts to cover this event (12 PM-2PM, 2PM-4PM or 4PM-6PM)
The last group will also be responsible for taking down our tent and gathering our other materials after the event. We are asking for three volunteers for each shift. If you are interested, please email Chip Law at chip@eduave.com and indicate your preferred shift. Chip will assemble a roster after the slots have been filled. If you are new to the club this is a GREAT way to get into the swing of things and All Things Duck.
Bill Thiefoldt and George Jucha will be handling set up for the event and will use a convertible provided by George which have a VIP passenger: our duck mascot. We need a volunteer to wear the duck suit which will be worn for about an hour. We are looking someone small enough to fit into the suit-perhaps you have a teenager looking for at bit of fun or notoriety? Let Chip know if you or a family member would like to volunteer.
Parking for this event is at a premium. We will provide information as to the best parking options prior to the event.
