Jane Baker, V.P. for Community Services, Daniel Island Company. The Daniel Island Company has been developing our island since the mid-1990’s. But now the time is rapidly approaching when the DI Company will turn over management of the island to residents. Jane will explain to us the timetable for the turnover and how it is likely to work. Perhaps more importantly for our Rotary Club, Jane is also the head of the Daniel island Community Fund which has partnered with us on numerous

projects over the years. Many of you are aware of the DICF and have undoubtedly heard about Jane, but you need to be able to connect a face with the name. Prior to her role here on Daniel Island, Jane worked as a Deputy Director of Planning, Preservation and Sustainability for Mayor Riley. Whenever any DI project needs city approval or assistance, Jane is just the person to get the job done.
