Trip to the Culinary Institute of Charleston at Trident Tech will be on Tuesday, March 24. 11a.m. to 1:30p.m. The event will start with a talk by Dean Nathan Rex at 11:00. Lunch will begin at 11:30., The cost is $30 per person. Bob Schroeder will bill each attendee through their Rotary account.
Visit to Trident Tech’s Culinary Institute of Charleston followed by lunch. Details to follow. President Vicky Wood told us about the Culinary Institute when she visited us a couple of weeks ago. When Johnson and Wales closed its doors in 2006 the Culinary Institute of Charleston stepped in to fill the void. The program has been growing rapidly since and currently offers three degree programs – Culinary Arts, Baking and Pastry, and Hospitality and Tourism Management -- all of which are two-year associate degrees.
