Bob Moran, General Manager, Volvo Car Open. The Volvo Car Open women’s tennis tournament will get underway in early April. Past winners include Chris Evert, Martina Navratilova, Steffi Graf, Jennifer Capriati, and both Williams sisters amongst many others. This is an annual world class event right in our backyard. But somebody has to put this together – solicit players, arrange hotel accommodations, determine the seeding order of the players, schedule the matches, organize the volunteers, present the trophies. DI Club member Bob Moran has been orchestrating the Family Circle Cup (now Volvo Car Open) tournament for 20 years. He will share some of his secrets with us.
